Dr Raymond Yu is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specialising in surgery of the shoulder, elbow and wrist. He completed his orthopaedic training through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, followed by subspecialty upper limb fellowship training in Australia and internationally.
Dr Yu treats the full spectrum of upper limb orthopaedic conditions, including shoulder arthritis (anatomic and reverse total shoulder replacement), rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability and dislocation, acromioclavicular joint injuries, subacromial bursitis, and elbow and wrist pathology.
He has a particular interest in complex shoulder reconstruction and revision shoulder arthroplasty. Dr Yu uses arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques where appropriate to minimise recovery times.
Dr Yu is committed to ongoing education and keeps up to date with the latest advances in upper limb surgery. He works closely with physiotherapists and other allied health professionals to optimise patient outcomes.
